Neurofit announced on the 14th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Anymedi Solution, a company specializing in patient-customized surgical solutions, to industrialize 3D printing medical devices.

Through this agreement, Neurofit plans to jointly develop a transcranial direct current stimulator (tDCS) as a 3D printing-based headgear product with Anymedi Solution. For product development, Neurofit will provide medical imaging 3D modeling technology for headgear production, while Anymedi Solution will be responsible for manufacturing the headgear using 3D printing technology.

Neurofit has previously established a brain precision stimulation platform capable of designing and performing brain disease treatments by combining Korea’s first brain imaging treatment design software, NEUROPHET tES LAB, with the transcranial direct current stimulator NEUROPHET innk.

NEUROPHET tES LAB is software that reconstructs brain MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) into a computer brain model similar to the actual brain and calculates the electric field distribution generated during electrical stimulation. Using NEUROPHET tES LAB enables personalized treatment that precisely stimulates target areas considering the patient’s brain structure.

Most existing transcranial direct current stimulators are band-type products that fix electrode pads to the head with a band, which causes discomfort for patients to wear by themselves and reduces the effectiveness of precision stimulation treatment due to improper wearing.

The 3D printing headgear-type transcranial direct current stimulator is a personalized product that is easy for patients to wear themselves and can provide consistent stimulation at the same location. Neurofit possesses design technology that analyzes each patient’s unique brain structure using AI technology to enable the production of customized headgear.

Anymedi Solution is a company that develops and services patient-customized surgical solutions using 3D printing and AI technology. Its main service products include ▲congenital heart disease simulators ▲rhinoplasty solution InnoFit ▲breast-conserving surgery guides ▲mandibular reconstruction surgery guides ▲shoulder joint replacement surgery guides.

Bin Jungil, CEO of Neurofit, stated, “We aim to advance brain precision stimulation treatment solutions through close collaboration with Anymedi Solution, which specializes in researching and developing 3D printing medical devices. Neurofit is a company developing brain disease solutions covering diagnosis, treatment guidance, and the entire treatment cycle. We expect that brain precision stimulation treatment solutions will greatly benefit patients suffering from brain diseases and the medical professionals treating them.”
