[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] Choi Jin-seok, Honorary Professor at Sogang University and spokesperson for Ahn Cheol-soo, Chairman of the Presidential Transition Committee, commented on President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol's cabinet appointments, saying, "The people from the Park Geun-hye and Lee Myung-bak administrations have all returned as they were." He also indirectly criticized the exclusion of individuals recommended by Chairman Ahn from the cabinet.

Professor Choi stated on his Facebook that day, "What will the new government be like going forward? You can tell by looking at who composes the power."

He added, "There is one very heterogeneous force included in the new government's power. It is Ahn Cheol-soo," and argued, "Ahn Cheol-soo is the only sharp tool that can prevent a reprint (repetition of past mistakes) of the Park Geun-hye and Lee Myung-bak administrations."

He further explained, "The weakness of the Moon Jae-in administration was that it did not allow even a single 'sharp tool' among the so-called remnants," and said, "In our country's environment, it is nearly impossible to have the inner strength to recognize and allow such a sharp tool."

Professor Choi said, "The trust in the phrase 'Don't trust paper scraps, trust me' is protected by the size of the person's inner self who said it, not by the volume of their voice."

On the 3rd of last month, it was reported that President-elect Yoon told Chairman Ahn during their final meeting to unify presidential candidates, "We don't need any paper (agreement documents)."

Professor Choi pointed out, "If the inner self is small, one fears being pricked and easily discards the sharp tool," and "If the inner self is large, even if pricked, one cherishes the sharp tool."

He continued, "If you want to become a better person, awaken. If you want to build a better country, awaken," emphasizing, "If you want to realize a completely new dream to elevate the Republic of Korea to the next level, it seems there is no other way than forming a completely new force."
