Seeking Lives of Challenge, Creativity, and Service... 13th Dongmyeong Award, Industrial Sector Candidate Applications Open

Dongmyeong University is accepting nominations for the 13th Dongmyeong Award in the industrial sector until 11 a.m. on the 22nd. Two winners will each receive 10 million KRW.

Nominations will be accepted in person until 11 a.m. on the 22nd. The required document forms can be downloaded from the Dongmyeong University website.

Nominations can be made by members of the Dongmyeong Award Committee, heads of various social organizations, professionals, recipients of internationally recognized awards, past recipients of the Dongmyeong Award, and former committee members.

The 13th Dongmyeong Award ceremony is scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. on May 4th at the Sang-ui Hall on the 2nd floor of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The ceremony is sponsored by the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Busan Ilbo, Kookje Newspaper, KBS Busan Broadcasting Station, Busan MBC, KNN, and BNK Busan Bank.

The Dongmyeong Award is a public recognition award in Busan given to individuals who have made significant contributions by continuing the spirit of challenge, creativity, and service of the late Chairman Kang Seok-jin of the former Dongmyeong Lumber, who led exports and economic development during the industrialization era. The award was jointly established in 2008 by Busan City and the industry-academia-research-government-political sectors.
