50s Shipowner Repeatedly Threatens with Weapon While Drunk, Arrested and Detained

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 11th, the Goheung Police Station in Jeollanam-do announced that they have arrested Mr. A (50) on charges of special intimidation for repeatedly threatening a shipowner while intoxicated and carrying a weapon.

Mr. A is accused of visiting Mr. B's house in Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, on the evening of the 6th, demanding unpaid wages of about 100,000 won, cutting the ropes of Mr. B's ship with a weapon, and threatening him.

He was caught in the act that day but was released after receiving the wages from Mr. B, the shipowner, and promising not to return. However, on the night of the 7th, still intoxicated, he visited Mr. B's house again, causing a disturbance by saying, "I will set fire," and was urgently arrested by the police who arrived at the scene.

The police applied for and obtained an arrest warrant based on the fact that Mr. A repeatedly threatened and that there was a fuel container loaded in his car.
