Various Participants from Academia, Industry, and Government Gather for Discussion
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] A forum to diagnose the current state of the domestic digital financial market, including fintech (finance + technology) and virtual assets, and to discuss legal and policy improvements for future development will be held.
The Korea Fintech Industry Association announced on the 11th that it will hold a policy forum titled "Tasks for a Paradigm Shift in Digital Finance" at 2 p.m. on the 14th at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jung-gu, Seoul, in collaboration with Korea University's Technology Law Policy Center.
At this forum, Professor Daejong Kim of Sejong University's Department of Business Administration will present on "The Current Status of Domestic Digital Finance and Tasks for Improvement," and Lawyer Hyunil Hwang of the law firm Sejong will present on "Legal System Improvement Measures for the Paradigm Shift in Digital Finance."
Following the presentations, the discussion will be chaired by Seongyeop Lee, Director of Korea University's Graduate School of Technology Management and Technology Law Policy Center, with participants including Dr. Jahyun Koo of the Korea Development Institute, Professor Misu Choi of Seoul Digital University, Specialist Si-hong Kim of the law firm Kwangjang, Lawyer Jungmin Lee of Kim & Chang Law Office, Vice President Myungjong Hong of NongHyup Bank, Director Hyohyun Chu of Kakao Pay, and Director Jooyoung Park of the Financial Services Commission's Financial Innovation Division.
The forum will be broadcast live through Korea University's Technology Law Policy Center YouTube channel.
