[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Medytox announced on the 11th that it has established a health functional food (health supplement) division and recruited Director Heonsik Lee as the executive in charge to secure new growth engines.

Director Lee is an expert in health functional food development who graduated from the Department of Microbiology at Chungnam National University and obtained both master's and doctoral degrees from the same graduate school. The company expects Director Lee to actively promote Medytox's health supplement business based on the know-how he accumulated over more than 20 years at LG Household & Health Care Technology Institute.

A Medytox official said, "We have recently selected the health supplement business as a field that can create synergy with Medytox's existing businesses such as toxins and fillers, and completed organizational restructuring by establishing the division," adding, "With the recruitment of Director Heonsik Lee, Medytox's health supplement business will officially begin." Previously, Medytox launched the hangover relief probiotic 'Kan-ui Achim' as its first step into the health supplement business and has been seeking new business opportunities that can create synergy with its core toxin and filler businesses.
