[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Lee Chang-yang, the nominee for the first Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy under the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, stated on the 10th, "I will devise industrial policies that enable our economy, which is at a turning point, to make a leap forward."

Regarding the controversy over his 2010 media contribution advocating the introduction of a 'childbirth avoidance burden charge,' he added, "At the end of the column, it is mentioned that while theoretically possible, it is not feasible in reality.
