This event is held to clear inventory of duty-free goods cleared for domestic consumption, and offers unprecedented discounts of up to 80%. The first phase of the event, held from the 11th to the 17th, will offer discounts on bags, shoes, and accessories from brands such as Etro, Coach, Tory Burch, and Longchamp. The Etro paisley shoulder bag, which was sold at a duty-free price of 1,180,000 KRW, will be sold at a 50% discount for 590,000 KRW; the Coach Ellis satchel bag, originally 490,000 KRW, will be sold at a 40% discount for 290,000 KRW; and the Tory Burch Fleming shoulder bag, originally 750,000 KRW, will be sold at a 40% discount for 450,000 KRW.
The second phase of the event, held from the 18th to the 24th, will feature luxury sunglasses at special prices. Sunglasses from Balmain, Saint Laurent, Burberry, Gucci, Givenchy, and Cartier will be available at discounts of up to 80%.
A representative from Shinsegae International S.I.VILLAGE said, "When we first sold duty-free goods cleared for domestic consumption two years ago, 150,000 people rushed in at once, causing the server to crash due to the overwhelming response," adding, "This year's event will be the last opportunity to shop for remaining duty-free inventory with unprecedented discounts without being affected by exchange rates."
