[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Domestic cryptocurrency exchange Korbit announced on the 6th that it has updated its next-generation web exchange by introducing the industry's first full-screen and professional Home Trading System (HTS).
Korbit conducted the update over approximately four months, referencing cases from overseas exchanges such as Binance. This update was made with two main concepts: trading convenience and performance improvement.
First, to enhance trading convenience, Korbit became the first among the four major exchanges to build a full-screen and professional HTS that fills the entire screen. According to Korbit, about 66% of desktop users accessing the exchange service last month used monitors with Full HD resolution or higher. Accordingly, the existing web exchange resolution of 1400 pixels was optimized and increased to 1920 pixels. Korbit is the first to introduce full-screen, which is familiar in overseas exchanges, to the domestic market.
The full-screen displays everything on one screen, from real-time price lists to buy and sell order windows, unfilled and placed orders, and transaction history, focusing on creating an investment environment for experienced investors. In particular, the buy and sell windows are separated on one screen to prevent order mistakes, and a cancel-all function was added to unfilled orders to improve trading accuracy. Additionally, users can directly adjust the position and layout of these functions to create a trading environment optimized for themselves.
Along with this, a performance improvement update was also carried out. The initial loading speed increased by 1.5 times, from 1.5 seconds to 1 second, and the overall page loading speed doubled, from 6 seconds to 3 seconds. By significantly reducing the system occupancy that took up a considerable portion of each user's PC memory, Korbit focused on improving slow speed issues and providing a comfortable trading environment.
Oh Se-jin, CEO of Korbit, said, "Through the next-generation web exchange update, we have established a pro-level HTS," adding, "We will strive to continuously attract new users by improving various services in the future."
