NCSoft Recruits Seoul National University Professor Lee Jehee as Chief Research Officer

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] NCSoft announced on the 6th a new executive appointment, bringing in Vice President Jaehui Lee as Chief Research Officer (CRO).

This personnel move aims to expand human resource investment in next-generation advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and digital humans, and to elevate research and development (R&D) to a global level to discover mid- to long-term growth engines.

CRO Jaehui Lee has been a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Seoul National University since 2003 and is a leading scholar in computer graphics and animation.

He has published world-class research results in physics-based motion control, data-driven motion learning and generation, and realistic human modeling, and has served as president of the Korea Computer Graphics Society and chair of the SIGGRAPH Asia 2022 Technical Papers committee.

Recently, he has been actively conducting research utilizing AI technologies such as deep learning and reinforcement learning. In 2019, he announced the world's first research results implementing the entire human musculoskeletal system using deep learning technology.
