Listening to Difficulties and Proposals to Be Delivered to Central Government Ministries

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, has visited sites struggling with various regulations.

Hapcheon-gun announced on the 5th that from March 14 to 31, it intensively operated a ‘Visiting Regulation Reporting Center’ focused on livelihood-related industrial sites such as agricultural and industrial complexes, small business support centers, and markets to discover regulations centered on residents and closely connected to the field.

The Visiting Regulation Reporting Center has played a role in directly visiting business sites to listen to difficulties caused by various regulations such as laws and ordinances and conveying proposed tasks to central government ministries.

This year, to respond promptly to regulations discovered on-site, a Regulation Reporting Center Promotion Team was formed with the deputy governor as the person in charge, strengthening interdepartmental collaboration. During site visits, they accompany the government promotion team and focus on in-depth task discovery through discussion sessions.

During this visit, stakeholders in the relevant fields expressed on-site difficulties that could not be shared in forums or inspection meetings and presented opinions on regulations that need actual improvement.

The county plans to continuously manage the 22 proposed tasks from 10 sites discovered on-site by seeking improvement plans through departmental review and advice from the private promotion team, reflecting them in local ordinances, and proposing them to central government ministries.

Acting Governor Lee Seon-gi said, “The start of regulatory innovation is on-site,” and added, “We will do our best to visit directly, listen, and think together so that residents can feel the results of regulatory reform.”
