On the 3rd, a list of contestants for the audition program "Chasing the Wind and Waves Season 3," aimed at debuting a five-member girl group, circulated online in China. Although the source of the contestant list has not been officially disclosed, quite detailed information was revealed. Jessica's personal profile was included on the list. Notably, Jessica was introduced as "Joseonjok" (ethnic Korean Chinese).
After it became known that Jessica was described as "Joseonjok," there was intense interest, and Jessica's agency, Coridel Entertainment, clarified, "It is true that she is appearing on a Chinese audition program, but we are unaware of the (Joseonjok) description. We never wrote or submitted the profile. The broadcaster also denied it."
The audition Jessica is participating in is for female celebrities aged 30 and above. Jia and Fei, former members of Miss A from JYP Entertainment, also participated in the previous season, drawing attention.
Meanwhile, Jessica, who debuted with Girls' Generation, suddenly left the group in 2014. Since then, she has continued external activities such as starting a fashion business with Tyler Kwon, with whom she was secretly dating. In September last year, she became embroiled in a lawsuit over a debt default amounting to 8 billion KRW.
