Posted Photo of Former President Moon Visiting Exhibition Right After the 2017 Presidential Election

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Kim Gunhee, the spouse of President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol, changed her previously private social media (SNS) account to public on the 4th. Among the posts Kim shared, there was a photo featuring President Moon Jae-in, drawing attention.
On that day, Kim posted a photo on her Instagram story showing three cats she raises sitting on a bed. Her Instagram account has about 600 posts, most of which are related to exhibitions planned by Kobana Contents, where Kim serves as CEO, or photos of her pet dogs and cats.
One of the posts included a photo featuring President Moon. On May 10, 2017, the day after the 19th presidential election, Kim uploaded a photo of President Moon playing with children and wrote, "Jumping with love that even made the president jump." This photo was from the 'Jumping with Love' Philip Halsman photo exhibition that Kim planned in 2013, which President Moon, then a Democratic Party lawmaker, also attended.
In February 2017, Kim also posted a news footage showing President Moon viewing the photo exhibition, commenting, "Kobana Contents' 'Jumping with Love' exhibition is gaining attention again."
Additionally, Kim's Instagram features photos of politicians and celebrities such as former Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa, former Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Jong-hwan, and Buddhist monk Haemin. There were no photos of President-elect Yoon.

Meanwhile, on the same day, media outlets released photos of Kim wearing a hoodie, jeans, and glasses, posing with a police dog. This was the first time Kim's appearance was publicly revealed since her visit to an early voting station on the 4th of last month, before the presidential election. With Kim's photos being made public and her previously private SNS account now open, there is speculation that her official activities are imminent.
In a statement released immediately after Yoon's election victory, Kim said, "I believe the top priority role of the president's spouse is to create an environment where the president can focus on state affairs," and added, "If circumstances allow, I will work together to address issues faced by marginalized groups or those living in the shadows of growth that the government’s reach has not yet touched."
