Lee Jun-seok Demands Three Issues... "One-on-One Debate, Kim Eo-jun as Moderator, Schedule After April 7"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] As the debate on 'mobility rights for the disabled' between Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, and the National Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (Jeonjangyeon) was canceled due to scheduling issues on Lee's part, leading to claims that Lee was effectively avoiding the debate, Lee responded by saying, "Why would I avoid the debate?"
On the 4th, Lee posted on Facebook outlining three conditions he requested regarding the debate. Lee's demands were: first, to have a one-on-one debate; second, to have broadcaster Kim Eo-jun as the moderator; and lastly, to schedule the debate after April 7th, considering the party's nomination procedures.
Lee stated, "Not a single one of these demands was accepted by MBC. Why would I avoid the debate?" He raised his voice, saying, "Later, I even said to let the broadcaster decide on the second demand, but MBC failed to meet the first demand."
Previously, Lee and Jeonjangyeon had been engaged in disputes over subway protests. Subsequently, Park Kyung-seok, co-chairman of Jeonjangyeon, proposed a 100-minute debate on mobility rights for the disabled to Lee on the 31st. Lee countered, "What is 100 minutes? I propose a one-on-one debate with unlimited time."
However, on the 4th, a media outlet reported that the debate was effectively canceled. According to Hankyoreh, a production staff member of MBC's current affairs program '100 Minutes Debate' stated, "There were disagreements over the method and schedule between Lee and Jeonjangyeon."
