Cheon Woo-hee Starring 'Anchor' Pre-Sold to 14 Countries

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The film 'Anchor' has been pre-sold to 14 countries overseas.

On the 4th, Ace Maker Movie Works announced, "'Anchor' has been sold to Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and others ahead of its domestic release on the 20th," adding, "It will be released in Thailand on the 28th of this month and in Taiwan on May 13."

'Anchor' (directed by Jung Ji-yeon) depicts the strange events that happen to Sarah, a broadcasting station's lead anchor, after she receives a tip-off call asking her to investigate someone who claims to be hers. Actors Chun Woo-hee, Shin Ha-kyun, and Lee Hye-young star in the film.

Movie Cloud, a Taiwanese distributor of films such as 'Train to Busan,' 'Exit,' and 'Rangjong,' stated, "Chun Woo-hee has attracted the attention of Taiwanese audiences since 'The Wailing,' and we also expect great performances in 'Anchor.'"

Germany's Splendid Film said, "Recently, Korean productions have been receiving positive responses, and we firmly believe that German audiences will also love 'Anchor.'"
