[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] According to major foreign media on the 3rd (local time), Ukraine's grain exports in March plummeted to one-quarter of the previous month.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy announced that corn exports in March amounted to 1.1 million tons, wheat 309,000 tons, and sunflower oil 118,000 tons.
Ukraine was ranked as the world's 4th largest grain exporter during 2020-2021, exporting most of its goods through the Black Sea.
However, since Russia invaded Ukraine last February, with the war taking place in major coastal areas, exports via rail have increased instead of ships.
