[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] On the 3rd, the People Power Party praised Han Duck-soo, the former Prime Minister nominated as the first Prime Minister candidate of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration, as "a candidate who lacks nothing in crisis management ability, leadership, morality, and experience."
Kim Hyung-dong, the chief spokesperson of the People Power Party, stated in a commentary on the same day, "Han's abilities have already been proven by holding important positions regardless of progressive or conservative administrations in the past."
Chief Spokesperson Kim said, "From the Kim Young-sam administration, Kim Dae-jung, Roh Moo-hyun, to Lee Myung-bak administrations, through his extensive experience in the fields of economy, trade, and diplomacy, he is the most suitable person to overcome the current crisis," and explained that Han's nomination is "proof of President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol's will to improve the lives of the people solely through competence, looking only at the people."
He warned the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "They should not obstruct with opposition for the sake of opposition or baseless mudslinging." Chief Spokesperson Kim added, "While fulfilling the National Assembly's original duties, I hope they recognize the serious crisis situation and cooperate so that the Prime Minister candidate can promptly begin his duties to overcome the crisis."
