Busan Saemaeul Association Donates 12.07 Million KRW for Uljin Wildfire Damage Recovery

Donation Collected Through Voluntary Participation of Busan Saemaeul Leaders Delivered

The Saemaeul Association of Busan City visited Uljin County Office on April 1 to deliver a donation for the restoration of damages caused by the Uljin wildfire.

At the donation ceremony, Heo Jeong-tae, Chairman of the Busan Saemaul Leaders Council, Kim Nami, Chairwoman of the Saemaul Women's Association, Jeon Chan-geol, Uljin County Governor, and Jo Seong-hyun, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Saemaul Leaders Council, attended and shared opinions on the damage status and restoration measures along with the donation.

The donation was collected through the voluntary participation of Saemaul leaders belonging to the Busan Saemaul Association to help the residents of Uljin County who are going through difficult times due to the wildfire damage, and it will be used for restoration activities in the affected areas and support for relief supplies for disaster victims.

Heo Jeong-tae, Chairman of the Busan Saemaul Leaders Council, said, “We hope for the quick return to daily life of the disaster victims,” and added, “The Busan Saemaul Leaders Council will continue to show interest and support to help the victims return to their daily lives.”
