Production Crew's Filming Bus Collides with Dump Truck

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Iseul] A bus carrying the filming crew of the tvN drama 'Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se-poong' collided with a dump truck, resulting in one death.

At around 7:50 a.m. on the 31st, a 45-seat charter bus carrying about 10 members of the drama production team crashed into a 25-ton dump truck on Jayuro in the direction of Munsan, Songchon-dong, Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

As a result of the accident, one male PD in his 30s from the directing team on the bus died, three were seriously injured, and seven sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital. The deceased staff member was confirmed to be part of the directing team contracted with the production company.

It is reported that the drama production team was on their way to the Paju studio filming site when the accident occurred.

The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.

A drama official stated, "All staff members are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals," and added, "Future schedules will be announced later after consultation with the broadcasting company and others."

'Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se-poong,' scheduled to air in the second half of this year, depicts the story of Yoo Se-poong (played by Kim Min-jae), a once-successful royal physician who is caught up in palace conspiracies and expelled, meeting Gye Ji-han (played by Kim Sang-kyung) and Seo Eun-woo (played by Kim Hyang-gi) in a village and becoming a true doctor.
