[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwanju] Mobile healthcare platform company Goodoc announced on the 31st that the number of users of its real-time non-face-to-face medical consultation service reached 1,000 per hour.
Launched on the 10th of last month, Goodoc surpassed a weekly user growth rate of 1100% compared to the first week, and exceeded a total cumulative user count of 400,000 in 50 days. Based on the increasing number of users, the Goodoc app was simultaneously selected as a popular app and a recommended app on the Apple App Store.
Goodoc's non-face-to-face medical consultation service was developed in an 'On-Demand' manner to provide immediate customized services according to consumer demand. In particular, by implementing video communication within the app, it established a non-face-to-face medical consultation system that enables real-time hospital consultations within the platform immediately upon application for medical consultation.
Goodoc plans to minimize medical service gaps by expanding non-face-to-face medical consultation services during late-night and early-morning hours, when medical service supply is low but demand is high. Jinseok Lim, CEO of Goodoc, said, “Goodoc’s real-time non-face-to-face medical consultation model, which matches users with specialists according to symptoms upon request, contributes to minimizing medical service gaps by reducing unnecessary costs and time waste,” adding, “Based on Goodoc’s unique technology and know-how, we plan to continuously increase differentiated elements of non-face-to-face medical consultation services in terms of convenience for hospitals, patients, and users.”
