Six Korean Works Make the Top 10 List
The drama 'Sanaematsun' topped the Netflix non-English TV category for two consecutive weeks in terms of viewing hours. According to Netflix on the 30th, 'Sanaematsun' was watched for 30.94 million hours worldwide during the fourth week of this month (21st-27th). Following 23.48 million hours recorded in the third week of this month (14th-20th), it ranked first in the non-English TV category for two consecutive weeks. The drama began airing on SBS from the 28th of last month and was simultaneously broadcast on Netflix. It first entered the top 10 (6th place) in the second week of this month (7th-13th, 15.9 million hours) and has shown a rapid rise since then.
'Sanaematsun' is a romantic comedy depicting the story of ordinary office worker Shin Hari, who meets Kang Taemu, the third-generation chaebol and CEO of her company, at a blind date she attends on behalf of a friend. The drama is an engaging adaptation of the web novel of the same name by Haehwa, and actors Ahn Hyo-seop and Kim Se-jeong deliver delightful performances that have won much love.
Meanwhile, among the top 10 in the non-English TV category this time, six Korean works, including 'Sanaematsun,' made the list. These include 'Seumulda Seumulhana (2nd place, 24.15 million hours),' 'Gisangcheong Saramdeul (4th place, 14.48 million hours),' 'Sonyeon Simpan (6th place, 12.51 million hours),' 'Jigeum Uri Hakgyoneun (7th place, 11.38 million hours),' and 'Seoreun, Ahop (9th place, 10.43 million hours).'
