Government Public Officials Ethics Committee to Disclose 'Regular Asset Change Report' on 30th

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Han Sang-hyuk, Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission (KCC), reported assets totaling approximately 1.33 billion KRW, an increase of about 260 million KRW from last year due to an increase in land holdings.
According to the 'Regular Asset Change Report' disclosed by the Government Official Ethics Committee on the 31st, Chairman Han reported total assets of 1,328,745,000 KRW. This represents an increase of 264,639,000 KRW compared to last year.
Chairman Han stated that he holds an apartment worth 355 million KRW under his spouse's name, land worth 339,962,000 KRW under both his and his spouse's names, and deposits totaling 594,453,000 KRW under his, his spouse's, and his children's names. Last year, he reported land worth 175,982,000 KRW under his own name, and since then, his spouse inherited land from her mother, nearly doubling the land holdings.
Vice Chairman Ahn Hyung-hwan reported assets of 135,909,000 KRW. This is an increase of 235,030,000 KRW from last year's negative 99,121,000 KRW. Vice Chairman Ahn's debts also increased from 226,428,000 KRW last year to 615,969,000 KRW this year. He disclosed that he took out a 400 million KRW loan as a deposit for an apartment lease contract in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
Among the standing commissioners, Commissioner Kim Chang-ryong reported the largest assets at 3,033,494,000 KRW, an increase of 76,421,000 KRW from last year. Commissioner Kim Hyo-jae's assets totaled 2,908,153,000 KRW, an increase of 420,285,000 KRW compared to last year. The combined value of three apartments under his and his spouse's names was 2,834,000,000 KRW, an increase of 397,000,000 KRW. Commissioner Kim Hyun reported assets of 580,115,000 KRW, an increase of 52,177,000 KRW from last year.
Jeong Yeon-ju, Chairman of the Korea Communications Standards Commission, who took office in August last year, reported assets totaling 1,042,739,000 KRW, including an apartment worth 1,011,000,000 KRW jointly owned with his spouse in Segok-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
