- Launch of 'Chicken Daejeon Platter' to Enjoy 3 Popular Menus from Korea Chicken Daejeon at Once
Chicken Plus (CEO Kim Wansik) has launched the ‘Chicken Daejeon Platter,’ which allows customers to enjoy three popular menu items from the Korea Chicken Daejeon (hereafter Chicken Daejeon) in one box.
The ‘Chicken Daejeon Platter’ is a half-and-half-and-half menu where you can choose up to three popular Chicken Daejeon dishes, each in half portions. The menu options are limited to three dishes: ‘No.1 Potato Dakto Dak,’ based on the recipe of the Korea Chicken Daejeon final winner (Ahn Byungtae)’s ‘Winning K-Dak,’ and two other winners from the preliminary and main rounds (Kim Jongun)’s ‘Appa-ui Jeju Kkamshulleong’ and ‘OnehundRED.’
‘No.1 Potato Dakto Dak’ features added ‘potato crumble’ that provides crispiness as well as the mild and savory taste of natural potatoes. It is seasoned with ketchup seasoning that brings out the flavor of tomatoes, making it an ordinary yet special taste.
‘Appa-ui Jeju Kkamshulleong’ is characterized by its black batter made with squid ink and topped with tangerine chips, evoking the image of Jeju Island. It also offers a sweet and salty flavor with garlic yuzu sauce.
‘OnehundRED’ incorporates savory doenjang (fermented soybean paste) and gochujang (red chili paste) into its seasoning sauce, creating a delicious flavor favored by Koreans. It is regarded as the third generation of seasoned Korean fried chicken following the boom of Korean chicken’s seasoned and soy sauce varieties. Additionally, it is served with crispy fried zucchini to add a Korean twist. Chicken Plus’s unique creamy onion sauce is added to provide a smooth and savory taste.
A representative from Chicken Plus said, “After the airing of Korea Chicken Daejeon, consumer interest in the Chicken Daejeon menus released based on the challengers’ recipes has been very high.” They added, “Along with this interest, we have received many inquiries from consumers who want to experience various Chicken Daejeon menus, so we launched the platter that allows you to enjoy three menus at once out of gratitude.” They also mentioned, “Since these menus won through fierce competition among chicken experts, everyone will be satisfied.”
The ‘Korea Chicken Daejeon,’ which Chicken Plus supported in production, is a K-chicken survival program aimed at globalizing K-chicken, showcasing unique chicken dishes in each episode and attracting much attention from viewers.
