Dobong-gu Landmark Complex Mall 'Banghak Station Mobius Square' to Open in April Mobius Square Shopping and Cultural Complex near Banghak Station / Provided by Fides PMC.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] A landmark shopping and cultural complex housing major brands such as Starbucks, CGV, Subway, and Modern House is set to open near Banghak Station in Dobong-gu.

Fides PMC announced on the 29th that 'Banghak Station Mobius Square' will open on the 29th of next month.

The 'Banghak Station Mobius Square' shopping and cultural complex is located at 707-6 Banghak-dong, Dobong-gu, spanning from basement level 5 to the 10th floor above ground, with a total floor area of 6,700 pyeong. The first floor will feature F&B (food and beverage) stores, the second floor will house daily necessities, the third floor will be a specialized hospital, floors 4 through 8 will be occupied by CGV, and the 9th and 10th floors will have rooftop spaces. It also offers ample parking with over 180 spaces. In addition to Modern House, Subway, Samcheong-dong Shabu, and Oreno Katsu, which opened at the end of March, Starbucks will open on April 13, followed by CGV on April 29.

Specifically, CGV, the first in Dobong-gu to feature 7 theaters (including one 4DX theater), will be established, and the 400-pyeong Modern House lifestyle goods complex has already completed its interior and is welcoming customers successfully. Along with this, Starbucks, Subway, Tokyo Ichiba, Gontran Cherrier, Oreno Katsu, and Samcheong-dong Shabu will be located along the passageway on the first floor.

As Dobong-gu was the only one among Seoul’s 25 districts without a shopping and cultural complex, local residents are reported to have high expectations.

A representative of 'Banghak Station Mobius Square' stated, "The Banghak Station area has been lacking in cultural and commercial facilities compared to its residential and floating population, and the commercial district is being reorganized after COVID-19. With the confirmation of major anchor tenants, it is expected to quickly establish itself as a landmark shopping and cultural complex that attracts not only the floating population around Banghak Station but also surrounding shopping demand."

Meanwhile, Banghak Station Mobius Square is a newly developed shopping and cultural complex created by repurposing the site of the former KT Banghak Building.
