[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in recently revealed on the 26th that he received two picture books as a gift from author Lee Su-ji, who was awarded the Andersen Prize, often called the 'Nobel Prize of children's literature.'

On that day, President Moon stated on his SNS, "I sent a congratulatory message for Lee's Andersen Prize win, and Lee sent two of her picture books as a thank-you gift."

When sending the picture books, Lee commented, "It's under 30,000 won, so it should be okay," which appears to be a remark mindful of the 'Improper Solicitation and Graft Act' that prohibits public officials from receiving meals under 30,000 won or gifts under 50,000 won.

The books President Moon received are Lee's 'Yeoreumi Onda' (Summer Comes) and 'Mul-i Doeneun Kkum' (The Dream of Becoming Water). President Moon shared his thoughts, "Although almost all the illustrations contain no words, reading a picture book feels like listening to a story and music together."
