[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Jin Ha, a Korean-American actress who appeared in the Apple TV+ original series drama "Pachinko," has been embroiled in controversy over illegal filming and sexual harassment.
On the 25th, an online community raised allegations that Jin Ha posted about 90 photos presumed to be illegally taken of middle-aged Korean women in the past.
These photos are known to have been uploaded on Jin Ha's social networking service (SNS) and personal homepage for about a year, from mid-July 2010 to September 2011. Jin Ha, who is also active as a photographer, posted portfolio photos on this homepage, among which were photos of middle-aged Korean women. Most of the women in the photos are wearing floral-patterned clothes.
It is reported that Jin Ha posted inappropriate remarks along with these photos. On her personal SNS, she said, "I found out that older Korean women are dedicated to wearing floral patterns," and added, "I decided to release a photo series called 'Blooming Flowers' to showcase Korea's fascinating fashion trend."

She also posted comments suggesting illegal filming without the consent of the individuals in the photos, such as "I almost got caught, but it was worth the risk," and "The two lovely women are the only voluntary models I have met."
In addition, it is reported that she made remarks evaluating the appearance of the women in the photos and included sexually harassing comments.
Amid growing controversy, these photos have now been deleted from Jin Ha's personal homepage.
Jin Ha, who has been active as an actress since 2016, gained public attention by appearing in the Apple TV+ original series "Pachinko." "Pachinko" is a drama focusing on the story of a Korean immigrant family over four generations, featuring actors such as Youn Yuh-jung, who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
On the 16th (local time), Jin Ha attracted attention by appearing in a women's hanbok at the global premiere of "Pachinko" held at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles, USA.
