On the 23rd, the Chengdu High-tech Zone Science and Technology and Talent Affairs Bureau announced that on the 11th of this month, it successfully held the "2022 Chengdu-Han-Jung Innovation and Startup Park Cloud Exchange and Chengdu High-tech Zone Overseas and Offshore Innovation and Startup Base Project Cooperation Exchange" at the China-Korea Innovation and Startup Park in Chengdu, China.

According to the organizers, during the exchange meeting, after congratulatory speeches by park officials and representatives of Korean offshore bases, Korean partner organizations and companies engaged in information exchange, roadshows, and one-on-one matching between Korean and Chinese companies. The exchange accelerated cooperation and communication between Korean and Chinese companies, laid the foundation for Korean companies to enter Chengdu, China, and fostered confidence in successful collaboration and the creation of new opportunities.

The Chengdu Han-Jung Innovation and Startup Park serves as a dynamic Korea-China industrial cooperation park and a pilot base for entrepreneurship and innovation. It plays an important role as a platform and business component for the opening-up of Sichuan Province, China. Additionally, by integrating existing industrial and commercial resources, it established the "Chengdu-Korea Global Center," a foothold for Korea-China corporate exchanges, acting as a new bridge connecting high-quality resources from both countries in western China.

In late October 2015, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning of Korea signed a "Memorandum of Understanding on Innovation and Startup Cooperation" to establish the Korea-China Innovation and Startup Park in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. Through this, aiming to build a pilot area for Korea-China cooperation in western China, the Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone was officially opened in October 2016 as an international cooperation park directly managed by the government.

The park is located in the southern district of the Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Chengdu New Economic Vitality Area) and is a specialized park operated by Jingronghui (菁蓉?), a core innovation and startup cluster, with a total floor area of 256,000 square meters. Within the park, signage in Korean, Chinese, and English is applied to create a Korean-style street, and Korean-related stores have been attracted to provide convenience for the local Korean residents.

A representative of the Chengdu Han-Jung Innovation and Startup Park stated, "The Korea-China Innovation and Startup Park provides professional and comprehensive startup support services to resident Korean companies. We are also fully committed to establishing a technology startup incubating system, introducing an innovation startup service platform, building an intelligent data-based service system, and creating an innovation startup ecosystem." They added, "So far, the Chengdu Han-Jung Innovation and Startup Park has successfully attracted four Korea-oriented incubators, houses 91 Korean companies, and has established one Korea-China cooperation fund."

They continued, "Furthermore, we have established cooperative systems with government and industrial organizations such as the Seoul Business Agency, Korea Creative Content Agency, and Korea Startup Promotion Agency to promote cooperation and exchanges in private business and trade between Korea and China. We have also signed strategic agreements with institutions and universities including the Incheon Creative Economy Innovation Center, Korea Small and Medium Business Trade Association, and Sogang University, building an international innovation and startup base in the Chengdu High-tech Industrial Development Zone to continuously promote cooperation and exchanges with Korea."

In 2021, based on the Korea-China Innovation and Startup Park, the Chengdu-Korea Global Center was established. This center aims to be a new hub connecting high-quality resources from both Korea and China in western China. Through a combination of government administrative support and enterprise operation support, it provides Korean companies, especially many small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to enter the Chinese market, with comprehensive support services including exhibitions, promotions, negotiations, transactions, legal consultations, visa issuance, and other services, offering full one-stop support to institutions, companies, and personnel from both China and Korea.
