Silver Celebrity Baseball Team Founded... Director Hong Seobeom & Manager Lee Bongwon


[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Woo-seok] The country's first silver celebrity baseball team is being formed.


The Korea Celebrity Baseball Association (SBO), a non-profit organization, announced on the 23rd that it will establish the 'SBO Cheongchun Baseball Team,' consisting of about 30 male celebrities aged 50 and over, including Director Hong Seo-beom (singer), Manager Lee Bong-won (comedian), former baseball player Coach Choi Ik-seong, and Coach Lee Kyung-pil, along with 3 female players.

The inauguration ceremony will be held on the 26th at the Nonghyup University Stadium in Goyang City, followed by an exhibition game against the Korea Economic Daily Reporter Baseball Team (Hankyung Red Bulls). The 'SBO Cheongchun Baseball Team' plans to engage in various volunteer activities that help the health and leisure activities of the elderly in the aging society.


Additionally, they will regularly hold exchange matches with over 60 silver baseball teams nationwide and serve as health ambassadors for elderly welfare and healthy aging.

An SBO official said, "With the establishment of the Cheongchun Baseball Team, we have decided to work together with celebrities to host and develop various silver sports events."
