[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Employees of the ‘Holiday Inn Express Seoul Hongdae’ hotel operated by Jeju Air participated in the ‘Busking to Revitalize Local Small Businesses and the Tourism Industry’ organized by the Mapo Culture and Tourism Council and held an ‘Eco-friendly Commemorative Tree Planting’ event, the company announced on the 23rd.
In addition to the Holiday Inn hotel employees, the tree planting event was attended by Yoo Dong-gyun, Mayor of Mapo District, and officials from the Mapo Culture and Tourism Council, delivering the value of eco-friendly consumption to tourists visiting Mapo.
The ‘Holiday Inn Express Seoul Hongdae’ operates dispensers in all guest rooms to minimize the use of unnecessary disposable amenities. It also practices sustainable eco-friendly campaigns by fully replacing plastic room key cards with eco-friendly wooden materials.
Furthermore, by reducing environmental damage caused by disposable room items and enabling customers to participate in the eco-friendly travel method called ‘Zero Waste Travel,’ the hotel aims to provide new customer experiences, convey Jeju Air’s eco-friendly values, and promote ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management practices.
