iWIN Achieves 90.6 Billion KRW in Sales Last Year... "Continued Growth Through Autonomous Driving Market Expansion"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] iWIN announced through a public disclosure on the 22nd that its consolidated sales last year reached 90.6 billion KRW, a 6.4% increase compared to the previous year. Operating profit was 2.5 billion KRW, and net profit was 2.3 billion KRW.

iWIN, which produces various automotive parts including seat heaters for vehicle interiors, saw sales growth due to the expansion of supply models such as SUVs. The company supplies over 90% of seat heaters to domestic global automobile manufacturers and also has numerous overseas clients.

The outlook for iWIN this year is also positive. The company secured new growth engines through its subsidiary, Pronics. By integrating voice recognition sensors and micro LEDs into existing automotive parts, it is developing various new products. Currently, a new technology related to sonar (ultrasonic detection) for autonomous vehicles, being developed in collaboration with KAIST, is a technology that many multinational companies focusing on autonomous driving and parking assistance systems may be interested in. This technology significantly increases the measurement range of ultrasonic distance sensors previously used in vehicles, and great results are expected after commercialization.

In February, iWIN also targeted the autonomous driving market by acquiring shares of Polaris Works. Polaris Works is a specialized company in chip scale packaging (CSP) for image sensors, holding patented technology in this field. It also owns patented technology capable of packaging quantum random number generators (QRNG), a core component of quantum cryptographic communication security technology, into ultra-compact sizes.

An iWIN official stated, “With the growth of the future automotive industry, the company’s performance will continue to increase,” adding that “following Pronics, the acquisition of Polaris Works will lead us to become a leading company in the autonomous driving sector, evolving from a specialized automotive parts company.”
