President Moon Jae-in has decided to drive an electric vehicle after leaving office. According to the bid announcement for the "Former President Support Vehicle Purchase (Lease) Contract" posted on the Public Procurement Service's 'Nara Market' on the 22nd by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, President Moon will be supported with a 2022 Genesis G80 electric vehicle for 48 months after his retirement.

The total budget was set at 102,115,200 KRW. Insurance fees and other expenses will be paid by President Moon's side using the vehicle maintenance allowance provided as a courtesy subsidy.

According to the "Act on the Treatment of Former Presidents," a president can receive support for an office and vehicle after leaving office, and this is the first time a former president will be using an electric vehicle.
