Opening Ceremony and Business Briefing of Haedream on the 22nd
Expecting Digitalization of Overseas Expansion Information through Strengthened Collaboration with 79 Institutions via MOU Signing
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sunmi] KOTRA held an official opening event for the one-stop platform providing overseas expansion information, ‘Overseas Economic Information Dream (Haedream),’ at its Seoul headquarters on the 22nd.
Seventeen key information linkage organizations, including the Ministry of Strategy and Finance as the host institution and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy as a cooperating agency, attended offline, while 62 other organizations participated via online live streaming. The event proceeded in the order of ▲Haedream official opening announcement ▲Haedream demonstration ▲Haedream project briefing session.
During the demonstration, methods for searching data by item and stage, as well as how to use intelligent services, were introduced. The briefing session discussed major issues such as the achievements of the Haedream construction project, the 2022 project direction, and measures to revitalize Haedream.
KOTRA plans to hold regular online and offline meetings targeting MOU partner organizations starting with this opening. Through these meetings, KOTRA aims to promote Haedream and enhance the quality and reliability of the information. Additionally, efforts to expand the provided information through continuous MOU signings will be pursued.
Haedream is a platform that gathers overseas expansion information and support projects scattered across various institutions into one place. Unlike existing platforms, Haedream’s major difference lies in providing information necessary for overseas expansion by item and stage. It facilitates easy searching of information on specific items intended for export and allows users to check the overall procedures required for preparing overseas expansion through stage-by-stage information provision.
The platform integrates data from government ministries, public institutions, and the private sector, and introduces data-based services such as AI reports that show customized information for companies at a glance based on artificial intelligence (AI) analysis, and recommendations for promising countries for overseas investment. In particular, integrated search is possible, significantly reducing the time users previously spent searching each institution’s site to obtain necessary information. The My Dream menu provides customized interest information in real time.
Kim Tae-ho, Head of KOTRA’s Economic and Trade Cooperation Headquarters, said, “We will continue to advance the platform to enable faster and more accurate information searches so that Haedream becomes a true overseas expansion partner for our companies.”
