Changwon City, Gyeongnam, held a tasting event for the development of Changwon specialty food meal kits on the 21st.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Changwon City in Gyeongnam held a presentation and tasting event on the 21st to introduce meal kit products developed through a business agreement with Masan University, ‘Zenp’, and ‘Anaeui Chef’, featuring Changwon's specialty foods.
The event was organized to taste and evaluate the meal kit products jointly developed through industry-academia cooperation, aiming to produce high-quality meal kit products.
The city formed an industry-academia cooperation body for meal kit product development on December 14 last year and held a meeting for product development.
On February 21, a business agreement for product development was also signed with Masan University, Zenp, and Anaeui Chef.
About 20 people attended the tasting event, including Jeong Hyeran, the 2nd Vice President, branch heads of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association, the Vice President of the Gyeongsangnam-do branch of the Korea Chefs Association Central Committee, and MZ generation employees.
They tasted dishes such as monkfish steak, Masan Tongsul Street mussel basket, Masan fish market grilled eel, cod steak, Masan-style boneless monkfish bulgogi, and Changwon premium flounder mugwort soup.
Jeong Hyeran, the 2nd Vice Mayor, said, “The freshness of the ingredients and the savory broth and sauce bring out the original flavors well,” adding, “We will strive to promote regional specialty foods nationwide to raise awareness of Changwon and increase income for local small business owners.”
