Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok Checks Progress of Saekkum City Project in Damyang Maesan District

[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, inspected the progress of the Maesan District Saekkum City project in Damyang, which will become a new home for retirees, and examined on-site difficulties.


According to the province on the 21st, Maesan District Saekkum City is being developed in the Maesan-ri area of Daedeok-myeon, Damyang, with a goal of completion by the end of 2023. A total of 298 housing units and residential lots will be sold.


It is being developed into a comfortable and convenient mixed residential space equipped with beautiful parks and various convenience facilities.


A Jeonnam Province official said, “Retirees who settle in Maesan District Saekkum City in Damyang will enjoy the rural life they have dreamed of in an ecological and cultural garden city with pristine nature and numerous humanities cultural assets,” adding, “We hope it will become a leading model for retiree cities nationwide, and we will do our best to make that happen.”


Meanwhile, the Jeonnam Province Saekkum City development project is a project to create country houses and various convenience facilities so that retirees can enjoy a comfortable and healthy life in Jeonnam’s clean and pristine natural environment.


Currently, Jangheung Jeongnamjin Lohas Town has started occupancy, and the Maesan District and Munhak District in Daedeok-myeon, Damyang, as well as the Cheonggye Wolseon District in Muan, are under development.
