[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] Park Ji-hyun, co-chair of the Democratic Party's Emergency Response Committee, said on the 21st regarding President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol's plan to relocate the Blue House to Yongsan, "I heard comments suggesting that rather than moving the Blue House office, it would be better to build houses for those who lost their homes in the wildfires in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk, and I truly empathized with that."
Regarding President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol's push to abolish the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, she said, "I don't think the government organization can be abolished."
Co-chair Park appeared on KBS Radio's 'Choi Kyung-young's Strong Current Affairs' that day and stated, "I clearly feel a sense of problem with the People Power Party's (presidential election) pledges such as abolishing the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family." She added, "There are definitely tasks being carried out within this (Ministry of Gender Equality and Family), and there are many issues that could arise if it is abolished," emphasizing, "Reforming government organization laws that threaten public safety is a matter that the National Assembly must seriously and clearly discuss." Park said, "Although they talk about abolition, I think it will eventually move toward reorganization," and insisted, "The process should proceed through sufficient discussion and consensus."

Regarding the relocation of the presidential office to Yongsan, she said, "(President-elect Yoon) mentioned moving to Yongsan with the intention of escaping imperial power, but isn't that itself a typical imperial behavior?" and added, "The person who says they are moving to the Blue House for communication is actually uncommunicative about the controversies surrounding the move." She continued, "The Democratic Party clearly has a sense of problem with President-elect Yoon handling the (office relocation) hastily," and pointed out, "What the person who will be responsible for state affairs should prioritize is not the space where I work or my own house, but the houses where the people live and the living environment of the people."
Regarding the early debut theory of Senior Advisor Lee Jae-myung, she said, "The role of this advisor is a matter for him to judge and decide," but added, "It would be good if he comes out (early), but it is right to fully follow his decision."
