Lotte Chilsung Launches 'Icis 8.0 x Seongsilhwarang Edition'

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 21st that it will release the "Icis 8.0 x Seongsil Hwarang Edition" in collaboration with the graphic design studio 'Seongsil Hwarang' to protect endangered marine animals and raise awareness.


The Icis 8.0 x Seongsil Hwarang Edition, which will be sold for one year until March next year, features three animal characters from Seongsil Hwarang's endangered species graphic archive printed on the labels: the endangered species "sea otter," the near-threatened "emperor penguin," and the species of concern "Weddell seal." This edition will be applied to all products including 200mL, 300mL, and 500mL sizes of Icis 8.0, as well as 1L and 2L bottles.


Lotte Chilsung Beverage plans to donate a portion of the sales revenue from Icis 8.0 sold over the year to the "Korea Nature Trust" for the protection of endangered marine animals. The product labels include QR codes so that consumers can access additional information about the Remember Me campaign's purpose, endangered marine animals, the collaborating studio Seongsil Hwarang, and the donation recipient Korea Nature Trust.


A Lotte Chilsung Beverage official said, "Through the Icis 8.0 x Seongsil Hwarang Edition, we hope consumers will increase their awareness of the importance of environmental protection and the conservation of endangered marine animals." He added, "This year, we will actively apply recycled PET products mixed with recycled plastic to the Icis brand and continue eco-friendly activities such as reducing the weight of PET bottles by about 20% compared to before."
