This is a special order given to golf equipment companies. Despite the impact of COVID-19, golf has become more popular. With international flights blocked, the domestic golf population has shown explosive growth, surging to 4.74 million last year. This increase is attributed to the rise in female golfers. Each brand is eager to secure inventory of women’s golf equipment. The women’s golf market is expected to continue booming this year, with new product development underway.
Korea Mizuno has prominently launched the JPX Q series targeting domestic female golfers. It offers a full lineup including drivers, woods, utilities, and irons. They boast it as a line “focused on improving distance, speed, directional stability, and hitting feel, which are concerns for female golfers.” The driver features a high draw design. It incorporates new CoreTech face technology, expanding the center of the face by up to 60% for higher directional accuracy.
The 9g weight screw located on the back of the head helps provide stable trajectory and forgiveness. It combines the lightweight and strong patented M Fusion shaft with Harmonic Impact Technology. The main color is a sophisticated and luxurious ‘purple.’ The irons use high-strength chromoly steel. The integration of CoreTech face technology and seamless cup face structure is impressive. The double cut sole allows the head to naturally glide out in any condition.
Zexio is pushing its ladies line popular among female golfers. Through Active Wing and Rebound Frame technology, it achieves the core values of ‘distance, comfort, and refreshing hitting feel.’ The one-tone color concept matches trends, offering Bordeaux and Blue color options according to personality. Golf queen Park In-bee praised, “I want to give it a good score,” adding, “I actually feel more power in my downswing and my distance has increased.”
Yamaha Golf’s women’s clubs accounted for 40% of total sales last year. Its flagship product, the SEES, sparked a battle among dealers to secure inventory. With the goal of becoming number one in the Korean women’s golf market, it will introduce three new products this year. The 2022 model SEES HM+ is the starting point?a premium women’s club with dramatically improved moment of inertia. Femina and UD+2 Lady will be released sequentially within this year.
