KT Signs Strategic Business Agreement with Menutok for AI Service Robot Activation

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] KT announced on the 16th that it has signed a "Strategic Business Agreement for the Activation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Service Robots" with Menutok, a company specializing in unmanned ordering platforms.

Menutok is an IT specialized company based in Pangyo that develops tablet ordering, waiting solutions, reservation solutions, and Internet of Things (IoT) software. It provides innovative unmanned ordering services not only to domestic but also overseas restaurants, cafes, hotels, and golf courses.

The two companies agreed to closely cooperate to ▲ establish a cooperative model between AI service robots and unmanned ordering platforms ▲ carry out joint marketing to revitalize business ▲ provide differentiated services and build a multifaceted cooperation system. First, they will combine KT's AI service robots with Menutok's table order and waiting systems to supply to food service businesses. In fact, prior to this business agreement, the two companies jointly developed the ordering system for three months and integrated their solutions.

Customers visiting restaurants or cafes where this solution is applied enter using Menutok's waiting system and are seated following guidance from KT's AI service robots. Then, by ordering food through tablet orders, they receive serving from the AI service robots. The AI service robots also handle clearing the table. Except for payment, the entire process is contactless. Through this solution integration, the goal is to contribute to increasing sales and reducing costs for food service business customers.
