[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Gumi City is recruiting new non-standing members for the Gumi City Children’s Choir.
Applicants must be students from 2nd grade elementary to 1st grade high school residing in Gumi City. They can apply by category: Performance Group (4th grade elementary to 1st grade high school) and Preparatory Group (2nd to 3rd grade elementary). Homeschooled students must submit their final academic certificate as well.
Applications can be submitted in person or by mail to the Culture and Arts Center from March 8 to 24, excluding weekends and holidays, between 9 AM and 6 PM.
The practical exam and interview will be held together on March 26 at 10 AM in the 2nd Exhibition Room of the Culture and Arts Center. The practical exam includes sight-singing and recitation of designated pieces.
Details on the exam pieces and other information can be found in the announcement section on the Culture and Arts Center website. The final successful candidates will be announced on March 31 on the Gumi Culture and Arts Center website.
The final successful candidates will receive systematic musical education, including vocal and dance training, from the Gumi City Children’s Choir instructors. They will participate as cultural ambassadors of Gumi City through biannual regular concerts, city events, summer camps, and choir competitions.
