[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] IQure is showing strong performance in the early trading session following news that the world's first donepezil-based dementia patch developed by the company will be launched in the third quarter of this year.
As of 10:39 AM on the 8th, IQure is trading at 15,100 KRW, up 16.15% compared to the previous trading day.
IQure is understood to have applied for the drug price of 'Donecive Patch' in January. This is a donepezil-based dementia patch developed by IQure. Unlike existing oral treatments that must be taken daily, the patch can be applied like a plaster twice a week, enhancing convenience.
Donecive Patch received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in November last year, and the drug price application was made in January this year. The drug price is expected to be set at around 7,000 to 8,000 KRW depending on the dosage.
Meanwhile, IQure announced last month that it decided to acquire treasury shares worth 500 million KRW to enhance shareholder value.
