[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Office of Education branch of the National Public Officials Labor Union held the inauguration ceremony for its 9th term, marking a new beginning.

According to the Jeonnam Office of Education Labor Union on the 7th, the inauguration ceremony took place on the 4th in front of the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education under the paradigm of "Jeonnam education where the expertise of general staff is respected, creating a labor environment that changes the lives of public official workers." The event was attended by multiple solidarity organizations including the Jeonnam Progressive Coalition, the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, the Gwangju-Jeonnam Federation of the National Peasants' Federation, and the Jeonnam branch of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union.

Chairman Kim Seong-hyun stated, "We will play a role in eliminating discrimination against general public officials, leading organizational innovation that changes the way we work, and transforming the lives of public official workers."

He continued, "The professional administrative capabilities of general staff are the most important driving force behind Jeonnam education, but the reality in the education sector is that they are not properly respected. If the professional domain of general staff is not guaranteed in the future, we will respond strongly."

He emphasized, "We will organize the precious authority entrusted to us by union comrades through struggle and make this labor union one that changes the lives of public official workers through responsible achievements."
