Gwangsan Police Station Dosan Substation announced on the 7th that it is conducting citizen-oriented patrols by utilizing foot patrols (designated patrols mainly on foot rather than by vehicle), greeting patrols (confirming safety and issues through daily conversations), and flexible patrols (providing patrols at times and places requested by residents), departing from the traditional methods.
Through this, secluded parks and dark alleys have been designated as linked patrol routes and improved into a local safety patrol method.
In the future, they plan to use GeoPros and Pre-CAS data statistics and analysis programs to designate 112 patrols and foot patrols in high-crime areas, vulnerable areas, and apartment underground parking lots, and to address issues through resident meetings and opinion gathering.
