[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, urged residents on the 3rd to hurry up and apply within the deadline as the "Special Measures Act on Real Estate Ownership Transfer Registration, etc. (hereinafter referred to as the Special Measures Act)" will end on August 4.
The applicable targets are real estate that was effectively transferred by sale, gift, exchange, inheritance, etc. before June 30, 1995, and unregistered real estate, excluding real estate currently involved in ownership lawsuits.
Residents who wish to transfer ownership must apply for a certificate of confirmation at the Civil Service Department of Jangseong-gun Office, attaching a guarantee letter signed by five or more guarantors (including one judicial scrivener) appointed by the heads of each eup and myeon.
The county will issue the certificate if there are no objections after on-site investigation and public announcement, and applicants can apply for transfer registration at the competent registry office by attaching the certificate.
A county official said, "With the Special Measures Act implementation period remaining only a short time, we will do our best to protect the property rights of residents through continuous promotion and active work efforts."
