[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] KT announced on the 3rd that it signed a strategic partnership memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Turkey's top telecommunications operator Turk Telekom at 'MWC 2022' to provide various digital transformation (DX) services of KT to Turkish customers.

Additionally, Altimedia, which joined the KT group, supplied middleware solutions to Turk Telekom's Internet TV (IPTV) platform in 2021 and plans to continuously expand its supply.
Omit Oral, CEO of Turk Telekom, said, "KT and Turk Telekom have many similarities, such as being the first to build and distribute telecommunications infrastructure in both countries. Through this cooperation, we hope to build future technologies based on 5G and continue sustainable collaboration."
Yoon Kyung-rim, Head of KT Group Division (President), stated, "We plan to jointly develop KT's digital transformation capabilities tailored to the Turkish market in cooperation with Turk Telekom."
