[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, expressed on the 27th his stance that quarantine regulations on self-employed small business owners should be lifted.

On the same day, Yoon shared the words of a self-employed person who declared 24-hour business hours through social media (SNS), stating, "Those who could no longer endure the losses caused by business hour restrictions are starting to join one by one," and pointed out that "these are people who have endured hellish times for over two years and have followed government policies well."

He argued, "According to the current government policy, these people inevitably become lawbreakers," and questioned, "Is this really right?"

Yoon said, "Many citizens also feel that it is time to lift these restrictions," adding, "What self-employed small business owners want most is to operate freely 24 hours as before. The vaccine pass, which has lost its justification, must also be abolished."

He said, "We will guarantee the freedom to earn money, the freedom to work, and the freedom to meet," and promised, "We will restore the precious 'daily life' of the people."

On the 25th, Yoon had stated on SNS his position: "Complete abolition of the 24-hour business quarantine pass and substantial compensation for COVID-19 losses."
