Realizing Customized Lifelong Learning... [Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui Institute of Technology and Gangseo District Office of Busan City signed a 'Business Agreement for the Activation of Lifelong Education' on the 18th.


The business agreement ceremony was attended by five officials from the two institutions, including Dong-Eui Institute of Technology President Kim Young-do, Future Lifelong Education Project Group Director Kim Tae-kyung, Manager Lim Dong-hyun, Gangseo District Office Mayor Noh Ki-tae, and General Affairs Manager Choi Chang-sik.


The agreement was prepared to provide wider lifelong learning opportunities to local residents and to establish a mutual cooperation system between the university and local government.


Through the agreement, they plan to provide high-quality lifelong education opportunities for the development of local residents' capabilities and to enhance vocational and career education in preparation for future society jobs such as the 4th Industrial Revolution.


The main contents of the agreement include ▲ improving lifelong learning and cultural levels and quality of life for local residents ▲ supporting the nurturing of future local talents ▲ regional community development such as revitalizing the local economy and strengthening competitiveness ▲ non-degree courses for local residents ▲ carrying out government-funded projects linked between local governments and universities.


President Kim Young-do said, “Through active and continuous cooperation, the two institutions will do their best to realize customized lifelong learning that considers the demands of different ages and classes.”
