On the 23rd, chicken is being cooked in the kitchen of Robert Chicken, a chicken store operated by the food tech startup RoboArte.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] GS25 announced on the 23rd that it has signed a business agreement with food tech startup RoboArte to introduce a collaborative robot for convenience store chicken cooking.
Through this business agreement, the two companies plan to jointly promote key projects including ▲the introduction of the first GS25 chicken cooking collaborative robot ▲development and application of a collaborative robot system tailored to GS25 facilities and store characteristics ▲stable operation and expansion of the collaborative robot.
GS25 expects that the introduction of the collaborative robot will greatly contribute not only to convenience and safety in chicken cooking at stores but also to consistent taste and hygiene management of the products. Additionally, it is anticipated to allow store owners and employees to focus more on basic daily convenience store tasks such as checkout, display, and cleaning, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction for visitors.
GS25 and RoboArte plan to introduce the first chicken cooking collaborative robot at pilot stores by April, and thereafter, they will carefully review store owners’ and employees’ satisfaction as well as analyze the productivity and economic feasibility of the collaborative robot to consider further expansion.
A GS Retail official said, "Through the introduction of the collaborative robot, GS25 aims to achieve efficient store operation, safety in cooking, and provision of consistently tasty food,” adding, “In the rapidly advancing era of automation, this collaborative robot will be the starting point for various smart auto systems to be integrated into convenience stores in the future.”
