Among these, which strawberry sandwich must you try before the season ends? After tasting the sandwiches from CU, 7-Eleven, and GS25, we ranked them.

Fresh Cream Strawberry Sand

The first contender is CU's 'Fresh Cream Strawberry Sand'. Three strawberries are neatly lined up between bread spread with fresh cream. The strawberry content is 34.78%, and the calorie count is 313 kcal. The price is 2,800 won.

Bread | Quite moist. Since fresh cream is inside, if the bread is too moist, it can give a soggy impression, but CU's bread does not. It is not mushy and has a very soft texture.

Cream | The sweetness is strong. It is a bit sweeter than the cream in fresh cream cakes sold at convenience stores. It is not overly greasy or heavy, but it is not refreshing either. Due to the sweetness of the cream, when you take a bite, the taste of the cream is much stronger than that of the strawberry. It felt like the balance of flavors was broken, which was disappointing.

Strawberry | Somewhat more tart than fresh strawberries. However, it does not have an artificial taste as if it were simmered in syrup or coated. There is almost no alcohol taste sometimes found in convenience store strawberry desserts.

Bread | The texture is like ordinary milk bread. The bread is less moist than CU's, which means that despite the overwhelming amount of cream, it does not feel soggy at all.

Cream | A taste deserving 120 points out of 100. It is not the greasy, slimy cream typical of convenience store desserts but soft and clean. The finish is even refreshing. Thanks to the fresh taste, the thick cream did not feel burdensome. The natural sweetness that did not overpower the strawberry's tangy flavor was also impressive.

Bread | Among the three products, the bread is the driest. The edges and outer parts of the bread, which are not spread with cream, are especially stiff. If you expected the texture of milk bread, you might be disappointed.

Cream | Soft and sweet custard cream. It lacks heavy sweetness or rich flavor but is not greasy, which is appealing. However, the combination with the strawberry was not good. The two ingredients did not blend well and felt disconnected.

Strawberry | Although the bread and cream were somewhat disappointing, GS25 had the best strawberries. The large strawberries, full of sweet juice, had a crisp texture. You could taste the flavor of well-ripened strawberries that were not sour and had almost no alcohol taste.
