Establishing a Lifelong Education System... [Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui Institute of Technology and Haeundae District Office of Busan Metropolitan City signed a "Business Agreement for Establishing a Mutual Cooperation System for Lifelong Learning" at the Haeundae District Office on the 8th.


At the business agreement ceremony on the 8th, six officials from the two institutions attended, including Dong-Eui Institute of Technology President Kim Young-do, Future Lifelong Education Project Group Director Kim Tae-kyung, Manager Lim Dong-hyun, Haeundae District Office Mayor Hong Soon-heon, Communication Cooperation Division Manager Kim Seong-dong, and Lifelong Education Team Leader Jeong Hyun-sook.


The agreement was prepared to contribute to providing lifelong learning opportunities for local residents throughout their lives and to the development of the local community by establishing a mutual cooperation system between the university and local government.


The main contents of the agreement include ▲ improving the lifelong learning and cultural level and quality of life of local residents ▲ supporting the cultivation of future local talents ▲ regional community development such as revitalizing the local economy and strengthening competitiveness ▲ carrying out government-funded projects linked between local governments and universities, such as non-degree programs for local residents.


The Dong-Eui Institute of Technology stated, "Through this agreement, by discovering and creating a cooperative model that harmonizes the university and local community, it is expected to enable more systematic and professional lifelong learning support for local residents."


President Kim Young-do said, "In the era of lifelong learning where people learn continuously and seek jobs, we will do our best to realize the establishment of a high-quality lifelong education system by sharing the resources possessed by the two institutions through this agreement."
