Wemade-Balov, 'Icarus Online' Joins WEMIX Platform Contract

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] On the 9th, Wemade and Velof announced that they have signed an onboarding contract for the MMORPG 'Icarus Online' on the WEMIX platform.

Velof is a game company that develops and releases online and mobile games, and through its own platform VFUN, it services more than 20 games in the global market. It is expanding its direct service regions through the establishment of subsidiaries and agreements in major global hubs, and this year it has been designated as a promising export small and medium enterprise and received the Export Tower award, gaining high expectations as a company with strong growth potential.

'Icarus Online,' joining the WEMIX platform, holds intellectual property (IP) rights by Wemade XR, and is currently developed and serviced by Velof.

'Icarus Online' is the third title to be onboarded on WEMIX following Velof’s FPS 'Black Squad' and the near-future lifestyle game 'N-AGE.'

Shin Jaemyung, CEO of Velof, said, “We are pleased to join the WEMIX platform, which is creating a new paradigm with 'Mir4,'” and added, “By combining the inherent fun of 'Icarus' with the blockchain ecosystem, we will provide users with even more enjoyment.”

Jang Hyung-guk, CEO of Wemade, stated, “Since the WEMIX platform has already succeeded with 'Mir4,' I am confident that 'Icarus Online' will also be perfectly transformed,” and said, “We will actively strive to ensure that 'Icarus Online' establishes an early presence in the global blockchain MMORPG market.”
